Make this creamy, cheesy baked garlic bread dip for your next gathering. It combines roasted garlic, cream cheese, and mozzarella for a rich, savory appetizer that pairs well with crusty bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon roasted garlic paste)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8-inch pie plate or small oven-safe dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until completely smooth.
  3. Stir in the sour cream until the mixture is uniform and creamy.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese over the top of the dip mixture.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese over the hot dip. Let it sit for 2 minutes to melt.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot with crusty bread slices or crackers.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw minced garlic.
  • Serve this as a crowd pleasing appetizer alongside toasted crostini or vegetable sticks.
  • You can prepare the dip mixture up to 24 hours ahead; cover and refrigerate, then add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.
