Ingredients
Scale
3 cups frozen rosé wine cubes
1 cup dry rosé wine, chilled
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons simple syrup
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (or to taste for the firecracker kick)
Optional: Lime slices and a pinch of Tajín for rimming
Instructions
Prepare the frozen rosé cubes ahead of time by pouring chilled rosé wine into an ice cube tray and freezing until solid, at least 6 hours.
Combine the frozen rosé cubes, chilled rosé wine, lime juice, simple syrup, grated ginger, and chili powder in a high-powered blender.
Blend on high speed, using the tamper if necessary, until the mixture reaches a smooth, thick slushie consistency. Add a splash more chilled rosé if the mixture is too thick to blend.
If using, wet the rims of your serving glasses with a lime wedge and gently press them into a shallow plate of Tajín or extra chili powder.
Pour the Frozen Firecracker Rosé Slushie immediately into the prepared glasses.
Garnish each serving with a lime slice.
Notes
Use a dry or off-dry Rosé wine for the best flavor balance against the spice.
For a sweeter drink, increase the simple syrup to 3 tablespoons.
If you prefer a less intense heat, substitute the chili powder with a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce.
