Make this creamy, cheesy garlic parmesan chicken bake for a simple, flavorful family dinner. It uses basic ingredients and bakes up perfectly in the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken broth, and minced garlic.
  4. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the chicken and sauce.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly. If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for the last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake, skip the breadcrumbs.
  • This recipe works well with chicken thighs if you prefer dark meat.
  • Leftovers reheat well for lunch the next day.
